I'm an American-Italian living, working and exploring life with my wife, Virginia, in Foligno, Italy. Our last home in the U.S. was Seattle, WA where we lived for 28 years until 2014 when an incredible job opportunity presented itself. We always wanted to live in Europe, so we sold virtually everything we owned (house, car and a lot of other things) and moved to Umbria, the Green Heart of Italy.
I'm one of those people who is curious about everything which has probably been the source of my greatest joy and deepest folly. As it turns out, I never pursueda "career path" so I've done a lot of different kinds of work in my life. Sometimes my jobs have just paid the bills. Other opportunities have provided me with a profound sense of accomplishment. As this blog expands, I will share my experiences.
Today, I am the "English Coach" at an Italian manufacturing firm called Umbra Cuscinetti S.r.L., I pinch myself every day knowing that I have the best job in the world doing the thing I do best: I get to talk all day. I coach English (and other things) with some of the most interesting, generous and wonderful people on the planet. We talk about everything under the sun!
